MeSo Ventures x Frieze New York
MeSo x Frieze New York: Private Collection Visit with Priya Karani
On September 3, during the Armory Show, MeSo Ventures partnered with Frieze Official and Frieze Connect to host a special evening in New York. The event, Frieze Connect: Private Collection Visit with Priya Karani (pictured below with MeSo Ventures Co Founder Eirini Meze) gathered collectors, artists, and cultural leaders for an intimate experience in one of the most dynamic cities.
Frieze Connect and the Role of MeSo in New York
This collaboration marked MeSo’s growing presence in New York’s cultural scene. MeSo’s growing collaboration with Frieze, initially facilitated by the support they receive from Aryana Khan, a Frieze senior executive, has enabled them to create a platform that combines access, dialogue, and community. The evening highlighted how private collections can spark new conversations about art and collecting.
New York has always been at the heart of the global art market. For MeSo, the event was a way to introduce its artists and curatorial vision to an international audience.
Eirni Meze, Co Founder of MeSo Ventures (below), has been spending significant time in New York to act as the venture’s representative in the city, strengthening ties with collectors and institutions alike while her partner Radhika Soni remains in London, ensuring the venture maintains a strong presence on both sides of the Atlantic.
Spotlight on Artists: Xu Yang, Mary Pye, Alicja Kwade
The evening featured works by Xu Yang, Mary Pye, and Alicja Kwade — all artists whose practices explore transformation, materiality, and perception in strikingly different ways. Their inclusion underscored MeSo’s mission to support voices that balance conceptual strength with aesthetic power.
Mary Pye, fresh from her debut solo exhibition in London, presented a work that embodies meditative stillness. Xu Yang’s practice brings a vivid lens on cultural identity, while Alicja Kwade is internationally recognised for her thought-provoking sculptures. Together, this trio reflected the diverse spectrum of MeSo’s approach.
Captured by Krimesh
The evening was beautifully photographed by Krimesh, whose work has been featured in Vogue India, Elle USA, and Elle India. His images captured the intimacy of the evening, the vibrancy of the setting, and the conversations that unfolded between guests, collectors, and artists.
Looking Ahead
The MeSo x Frieze New York collaboration shows what happens when a forward-thinking venture and a global art platform come together. It was not only a celebration of art but also a statement of intent. As MeSo expands its footprint, events like this will continue to connect artists, collectors, and institutions across borders.
