New age of the facial - The Skin Whisperer

New age of the facial - The Skin Whisperer

Want to know what I really love about Skinfluencer?  Other than they have some fantastic names for their facials like ‘Shatter My Melasma’, ‘Dazzle Me’ and the one i’m trying which is the ‘Skin Whisperer’.   Their treatments are completely bespoke, and they tackle skin concerns from every possible angle - using a combination of peels, lasers and injectables to really make a difference to the outcome of what a facial means these days - you really do see significance and long-lasting results for your money!

So what is the ‘Skin Whisperer’ you say?  Well, it’s a combination of Profhilo to hydrate and plump the skin, its basically a drink for your face which lasts a lot longer than a topical hyaluronic acid, hard hitting HIFU, LED lights, peels and PRP.   I put my skin to the test to see what a difference it makes.  Again, these are all bespoke so I might not necessarily need all of the above.

First up was the Ultraforma (HIFU) which you need two treatments 3 month apart.   This is about toning and tightening the skin and if you need it they can hit an stubborn fat areas that might need blasting.   And don’t worry, there are different settings for different concerns so you won’t end up with a melted face – I will stress though that when having treatments like this its extremely important you visit a clinic that has had the relevant training as in the wrong hands it could go terribly wrong.  They hit three different layers of the skin but the reason why this device is often called the non-surgical facelift is because it can go as deep as the SMASS layer (the layer which is tightened in a facelift) but this is all without going under the knife.  Hitting the three different layers means this machine really attacks every element of facial sagging from the SMASS to superficial skin tightening!

So what does it feel like and did it hurt?

As always at Skinfluencer I felt totally at ease that my therapist, Ridah, knew what she was doing and really put my mind at rest.  Ridah assessed my face and then discussed with me what she was going to do in each area making this a bespoke treatment.  For me, most of it was for skin tightening apart from a tiny spot under why chin that she wanted to blast with the fat setting. Now, I know what you are thinking and yes, it’s the first thing I asked, ‘does it hurt?’ and I’m not going to lie, yes it did!  Was it unbearable?   No.  It is a weird sensation and kind of felt like little bee stings, it doesn’t get really hot like Radio frequency can and once the pass is done the pain has gone.

The whole time I was having the treatment Ridah talked me through what she was doing and how It should be feeling so that I felt at ease.   After about 45 minutes I was done.  I was expecting to be really red and sore after but it wasn’t at all and in fact my skin looked a lot better than before I went into the salon.   By the evening my face did feel a little tender in parts, it was a tiny bit swollen under my chin which is where she zapped it for the fat and I’d say that was probably the most painful part of the procedure.

2 hours after Ultraforma at Skinfluencer. Spots on forehead were already there.

The funny thing about having these collagen boosting treatments is that you do have to wait about three months to see the difference so you kind of forget about it until one day you catch yourself in the mirror and notice how much tighter your jaw looks and the marionette lines don’t look as deep and that’s exactly what happened to me.  The next process was to see the Dr at the clinic for my Profhilo treatments and after a consultation in the face and neck to really give my skin that extra boost.

But did it work and was it worth the money?

I have to say that I’m not only a huge fan of this treatment but I’m also a massive fan of Skinfluencer and their approach to aesthetic beauty.  The minute you walk in you are filled with trust from the look of the place to the reception staff being knowledgeable and then there is the skill and professionalism from Ridah (who does all the facial treatments) to their aesthetic doctors.  And then there is their founder Sharin Shafer who founded the clinic because of her quest for perfect, make-up free skin.   Since trying I have been back to maintain the quality of my skin with some of their other lasers as well as botox and lip filler.  All I’ve been extremally impressed by.   Do yourself and your skin a favour and book a consultation at Skinfluencer today!
