Laura Pradelska is not only an actress but also a voice over artist, public speaker, activist, DJ and broadcaster. She was born and raised in Frankfurt, Germany and moved to LA at 18 to pursue an acting career.

10 years later she relocated to London to join the Drama Centre London at Central St. Martins and graduated with two Master degrees in theatre and classical theatre!

Laura has been a firm fixture in the industry ever since and we suspect this talented lady will continue to be so for many more years to come. She sits down with us (virtually of course - God bless zoom) and tells us what makes her happy and why she feels “very fortunate”.

Hey Laura, What are you up to right now?

-Right now, I have just completed an 8 episode podcast which had guests such as : Rose McGowan, Joanne Froggatt, Big Narstie, Matt Haig and many more. We are about to start our second season. I have also appeared on Laura Whitmore’s Channel 5 live show and have done segments for ITV including Good Morning Britain.

Being busy, working hard , challenging myself to do things that scare me always motivates me, but mostly speaking up on the causes I believe in and being constantly creative,

What has quarantine been like for you and going back in to it. Will you bring something positive from it?

It was challenging at first as I am a very social person and love the nightlife (I have Dj’d for a while now) I do enjoy the quietness now and feel fortunate to have had Covid in the very beginning, without needing hospitalisation. I am thankful my family is safe.

It took a minute to adjust to not eating and drinking constantly , but I feel as if I am slowly finding a routine.

What will the Holidays look like for you this year?

I celebrate Chanukah as I’m Jewish, and this year it was a very small gathering of just my partner and myself. For Christmas we will be at home in London in our little bubble, poking a feast and watching loads of films, play cards, read and just chill out. We (Lara Fraser ) and I are still recording our radio show on Resonance FM from home plus we’ve just started recording the second season of our podcast “At home with the Lalla’s “ Should pubs, restaurants and theatres open (fingers crossed) we will probably do all of that.

What is your favourite memory and why?

This year, it has to be the day my mother released her second novel “Es wird wieder Tag” in Frankfurt. It was a beautiful, socially distant event in September and I was incredibly proud.

What is the one item you realise you can’t live without?

Sadly my phone. I wish that wasn’t the case, but all my business is conducted from it and I am on Social Media a lot.

One thing that has kept you sane?

Yoga, mediation, my best friend and business partner Lara and of course my better half

What have you missed he most?
Probably Dj’ing at events, going to the theatre, meeting spontaneously with friends and travelling

First place you will travel to when things are back to normal?

Los Angeles, my second home.

Who is your celebrity crush?

Ha! I might have to keep this for myself but I am a huge Cate Blanchett fan.

Who is the messiest person you know?
My best friend....

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve read or seen lately?

I loved the Midnight Library by Matt Haig and I keep rewatching Kamala Harris’ speech

What would you like to be remembered about you?

I’m not planning on leaving soon :) but hopefully that I was kind.

Who is your inspiration?

My parents and grandparents who survived the Holocaust.

What’s your most annoying habit?

You would probably have to ask my nearest and dearest....but I have ADHD and can never stay on one topic, that must be rather annoying for my friends

What is it about the way you do what you do, that you feel might separate you from others?

We are all just trying our best, I believe.

whats the most fun project you have done and why?

There are so many, but Game of Thrones is the most powerful shift that happened in my career and I still benefit from it

What do you like doing in your spare time?

Read books, that is my biggest passion

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you while working on a project?

There are so many. Probably working with a stand in, as the other actor (who shall remain nameless) wouldn't come out of their trailer.

where are you in 5 years and in 10 years?

Who knows... I would love to be a mom, do more theatre and have my family healthy.

What is next for you now?

Season 2 of our podcast, a few TV and Radio appearances booked and directing my first short film with the talented Elle L.
