Lalla Bronshtein’s : Have you ever shopped ‘Green’?
The solution to going more 'green' when shopping lies in buying less and choosing better quality items that are made as ethically as possible. And luckily for us there are now some really interesting and cool new brands out there that tick all these boxes.
Those ethical unique buys can be perfect for a day at work or a night out with the girls!
From running LALLAXRR and creating one-off Eco-friendly up-cycled pieces I’ve really enjoyed exploring what other ethical brands are out there and since I first started the choices have grown considerably and I’ve found some really amazing ones.

OM & AH
The first ethical soured brand I came across recently was Om & Ah a combined brand founded by Charlotte and Claire who both share a passion for the love for people’s well-being and comfort. Together they have created a collection which includes ethically sourced apparel and luxury loungewear from T-shirts, jumpers and vests. Perfect when teamed with jeans for work and then with PVC trousers seen here for a night out with the girls!
I’ve aIways been a fan of denim, from loving denim minis to retro denim cropped jeans one can never have enough denim and that’s why I was so happy to come across ONE DENIM. A sustainable luxury denim brand on the market that combines the latest eco technological innovations to traditional handcrafted designs, expertly crafted in Italy and France. All the materials they use to make their jeans are either recycled or organic, down to every last button, rivet, stitch and label and they combine this with low impact technology to massively reduce water waste, energy usage and pollution in manufacture. All water used in the washing process gets recycled and they also apply state of the art eco laser and ozone washing techniques to further reduce their impact. Every purchase from their collection benefits a charitable donation to www.wateraid.org helping them build clean hand wash stations for some of the world’s most marginalised people.
MATT & NAT
Since 2007 Matt and Nat have been committed to use linings only made out of 100% recycled plastic bottles, they have also recently introduced recycled bicycle tires to their collections and anything with the word recycle in their brand story is my kind of brand.
Rucksacks are so on trend at the minute and that's why Matt & Nat 's beautiful rucksacks caught my eye straight away !
Each season, Matt and Nat continue to explore new innovative ways to remain sustainable and eco-friendly. Over the years, they’ve been experimenting with different recycled materials such as recycled nylons, cardboard, rubber and cork. So shopping green not only helps the planet but while you shop you can look super cool in the process of doing it in work and play!
Those days of shopping with a guilty conscience are now long gone!
