Let me preface this by saying that like many others my home turned into my whole world this last year. My restaurants, my coffee shops, my gym and even my spa. There are many companies that I have been so grateful to over the last year and that have helped me turn my home into my sanctuary and One Aromatherapy is certainly one of them. A special thanks goes out to Jeanne, its owner and founder!
Although Jeanne was a self proclaimed ‘tom boy’ she loved fragrances “That is why I absolutely love Aromatherapy. There is a history, the oils affect us emotionally, mentally and for some of us spiritually. Each essential oil has their own unique chemical profile and this will stimulate a specific emotional response when used in inhalation and/or absorption.” - Jeanne
In 2012 Jeanne achieved her diploma in Aromatherapy and opened a small holistic business in Wokingham. This gave her the opportunity to create bespoke Aromatherapy blends to help her clients with stress, sleep and anxiety issues. Due to covid Jeanne was forced to close her doors however, as her blends proved to be a huge success she focused solely on her bath salts and One Aromatherapy was born. Again, thanks Jeanne!
Let us begin by discussing the beautiful small containers. Not only are they made of glass making it easy to recycle and reuse, which as you all know we love here at Blowout Magazine, they just look so pretty sitting in my bathroom. The selection I was sent were some of the most amazing smelling bath salts I have ever come across in my life. Now for the cherry on top, all the products are natural, organic, vegan and eco friendly! Music to our ears…
With the change in weather, hay-fever and the general flu going around I’ve been feeling a little congested lately. Nothing I tried would shake this feeling. However as I poured the salts into the warm tub, right away I could feel something different. Within five minutes the eucalyptus made its way through my nose and down to my chest opening everything up. The only word I could use to describe this was “incredible”. It gave me a sense of relief that I haven’t felt in the last few weeks. Although this wasn’t the only benefit (I’ll get to how relaxed I was in a second) the fact that I could finally breathe again was definitely a welcomed surprise and the only cure I’ll be using going forward… Goodbye Claritin and hello One Aromatherapy!
So obviously with that being my first experience, I was immediately sold on the other blends and when it came to testing them I was so excited! I already loved my baths but now I’d wake up and look forward to them all day. All week I’d try a different blend every night and One Aromatherapy did not disappoint with any of them. Calming, balancing, rejuvenating, soothing, and restorative sensations all wrapped up in a bow! The best sleep I’ve had all year. Once again, thanks Jeanne!
