He first burst onto our screens playing a Viking in the SKY TV series Vikings but it seems the Irish actor, Jack Mcevoy, has a lot more up his sleeve. Words by Kylie Olsson and photographs by Erica Bergsmeds.

Well I wasn’t good at much else, I liked the idea of not going to college for academic purposes, but to get creative.. from there I was hooked
Your breakthrough role was in Vikings, which is no longer on our screens, do miss it?
Of course, but sometimes it’s good to leave the past in the past. Rightly, we cannot talk about the future if you think about it. We can only talk about what we imagine or wish for, it’s two different things. But I wish for hope, that’ll do me I reckon..

Well weird is a funny word, it’s relative. I guess it kind of depends what side of the cage you are on. I guess digging up a wax model of my late wife on the show is quite seemingly unimaginable.
